Traditional Recurve Bows
A traditional recurve bow in contrast to a modern one is made completely of wood and is a one-piece rather than take-down bow. They also tend to be shorter in length than their modern counterparts. Despite the differences these are classed as recurve bows because when they are strung the limb tips curve away from the archer and the bow string touches a portion of the limbs (not just the tips).
