Flat Bows
Flat bows are wood one piece bows with non-recurved limbs that have approximately rectangular cross-sections. The limbs are relatively wide, while the bow is deeper at the handle. When a flat bow is strung, the bow string doesn’t touch the limbs apart from at the limb tips (in contrast to a recurve bow). A modern flat bow tends to be made from more than one type of wood and may be laminated with fibreglass.
